Woolly Jumpers

Recently my mum spotted a competition to win a tweedy, woolly blanket with matching cushions on the
She really wanted to win the blanket....

The requirement was to combine wool and bikes and get a picture taken of self wearing wool while riding a bike.
My sister Jenny and I are down with both, WOOL (Two by Two ...wool available...jumpers, cardis, hats scarves etc)
and BIKES...Jen is a mountain biker (rides an actual bike, takes photos of riders and even knows how to mend a puncture)
she writes about her mountain biking adventures over at

We decided to go after the blanket by way of a
WOOLLY JUMPER ADVENTURE....

Jozza really looked the part

We both agreed that Wool is an excellent material for bike riding as it is a natural fiber and therefore breathable. It is stretchy and of course it looks fabulous. We opted for the new season Oubas Knitwear Poncho and scarf, a Fisherman Out of Ireland, Donegal Tweed roll neck jumper and of course Fair Isle socks knitted by Elves

Jozzas only issue was my personal protection equipment

which I agreed to with some slight alterations

We warmed up with a slow spin

then had a go at the jumps

with my experience of wool

 and Jozzas experience of jumps

I'd say we made a good woolly jumper team

well, obviously, Jozza was a bit better at it than me...

All in all it was an excellent Woolly Jumper adventure

Hopefully the winning picture is somewhere in here and Mum will win the blanket!
