Some mornings when I drag myself from my bed and reluctantly detach myself from my cosy pyjamas, I think how lovely it would be to work from home and not have to do either. In reality of course, those who work from home know, that if you stayed in your pyjamas all day you would never get anything done and so, today since I am working from my mum's home for the day, I have decided to go all officy with a white shirt and my obligatory 40 days of Lent LBD....
The main problem here at mums, however, is not the urge to stay in bed but the desire to go out there....
....and so the white shirt vibe will be essential in keeping me at my desk and focused on today's goal which is updating the Two by Two VAT return (eyes roll in head so far back I cant find them)....
In this month's issue of Harper's Bazaar, Designer Jill Sander is reported to have claimed
"...a white shirt and a great coat are the answer to many problems...."
Oh gosh I do hope this is true....
