Arty Farty

This week I am looking forward to The Greendoor Art Trail, starting Friday for 3 days. Artists all over South Lakeland will open up their homes and studios to the public offering a chance to see where they work.  For the 4th year running, my step dad Chris Benefield will be opening his house in the Rusland Valley and exhibit alongside local artists, Tina Balmer and Angie Flynn. This year, due to ill health, Chris has a limited number of paintings but has had some of his favourite prints made into cards. Here's a glimpse.....



I am lucky to own the original of bottom right painting which is a view of the Isle of Skye from Applecross (mainland west coast Scotland). Here's what I'd wear if I was in this painting.....




.....wearing skirts over trousers is a brilliant trend in winter..this boiled wool skirt by Sandwich is as warm as toast .....
